"There's no place like home...."
Sweet holy goodness -- I'M GOING HOME! I am writing my last blog from the confines of the Penthouse Suite. I will NOT miss this lumpy chair, and I will most certainly not miss the ridiculously creaky floor, or the drippy bathtub faucet, or the flowered wallpaper, or the way you can't read the numbers on the microwave....I'm out of here! I am actually supposed to be packing up the last of our things, but I was too darn excited. The movers have already confirmed -- they are going to be at the house with our things by lunch! I wish I had taken the day off tomorrow to help, but I'm so behind as it is, I don't think I would ever catch up. We're hoping to get everything back to some semblance of order and then we're putting our house on the market -- If there is any mercy, it will be a quick sale, and we'll have a new house picked out. Woo-hoo!

Feelin' blah....
So, I'm at my post -- kicked back in my lumpy, badly upholstered hotel chair, watching American Idol, (and being thouroughly unimpressed, might I add). I never really like it until they get past the audition/Hollywood week stage. Before then, it usually just gets on my nerves. I haven't blogged recently because I haven't had time. And that's not just a cop-out, it's the darn truth. Since the flood, life has been throwing me nothin' but curves. We had the freak tornado/storms, my speeding ticket, a new job (same company, just a new addition -- talk about stress!) yesterday's snow storm, the little man cutting his molars, (pure misery for all involved), AAAaaaaannnnd I'm still living in a freakin' hotel. Life is just peachy. I'm hoping it goes up from here. Bless his little heart though, the bebe' did go down easy tonight, so I've had some time to basically not do a thing except vegitate in front of my borrowed lap top.
I've decided I'm going to dye my hair. I'm going back to the red/auburn I had in my college days. I picked up the stuff yesterday, ($15.99! I almost fainted -- that crap is expensive!) So I'm going to do it tomorrow morning before work. I'll update my feelings on that when I can. Hopefully, it'll give me a jolt of sass...Lord knows I'm gonna need it! I have literally do not stop from the time I prance my happy little heels into the office until the moment I unlock my car to go home. I'm basically trying to do 2 full-time jobs in one 40 hour work week. Can I just say, 'no fun'...
I really want some coffee. I wonder if I make myself a mug if I will be able to sleep. Probably not. But -- one of the wonders of living in a hotel, (besides the daily room cleanings/fresh towels/always having extra toilet paper) is that our cleaning lady, having already picked up on my caffeine addiction, brings me about 3 packs of regular AND decaf coffee every day. (Bless you Juanita!) So, I'm going to wrap this up, put on a pot, and end the day with my book. That's my kind of evening!
