Lazy Saturday Mornings are the best invention ever!

Mood: Relaxed and very much content
I'm Reading: "The Double Bind", by Chris Bohjalian
I'm Listening: Elmo singing on Sesame Street :)
Mmmmm. Nothin' like a lazy Saturday morning. I remember when I was little, several things were staples at my house. First of all, NONE of us would be out of our PJ's before noon. I can so clearly remember the smell of my Dad's coffee--he always had a mug in his hands along with the paper or a magazine, lounging around in his ratty sweat pants and his silly boat shoes. My brother and I would vegitate on the couch, watching cartoons and picking at each other, and later my Mom would take us to Nanny's house to do the bulletin for church the next day. While there, Grampa would invariably be taking his mid-day nap and Ryan and I would stealthily sneak into Nanny's old makeup and proceed to "makeover" Grampa while he slept. Of course, I know we woke him up, but he would always pretend to be asleep, and then "wake up" so surprised that he looked like a horribly disfigured female troll... :) I'll have to find a picture of that somewhere.

Then, a few years later, some of my favorite Saturday mornings were spent with my brother and Mom. Ryan and I would always wake up first, and then go jump in Mom's bed, where we would all lay around and talk the morning away. We would plan our day, talk about school and our lives.

Now, I have my own son--and just this morning, I woke to the feeling of an ever-so-small index finger being poked up my nose. Upon opening my eyes, I found myself looking at quite possibly the most beautiful almost-toothless smile I've ever seen. (Usually almost-toothless smiles are not really that attractive). :) Baby C then, after he was sure that I was thourougly awake, proceeded to repeat the exercise with his daddy, eliciting a snort that pretty much scared his pants off. I thought, as I was pulling my shirt sleeve out of my baby's mouth, that this was quite possibly what life is all about----Lazy Saturday mornings. It's funny how life cycles around isn't it? As I'm typing this, I have a mug of coffee sitting on the computer desk, I'm in my ratty sweats, and I'm learning to count to ten with the gang on Sesame Street. Life goes on.......

Complete Craziness!

I just read the following article on MSNBC. This is COMPLETE Craziness! 'Nuff said.

"Couple welcomes 17th child _ and wants more An Arkansas couple had a baby daughter Thursday _ their 17th child and seventh girl _ and the pair say they're still not ready to give it a rest."

Caden Playing

Caden loves the Keys Nana got him!

Crawling some more....

He's so good at it!

Look Out World!

Like a said--a crazy crawling monster! ;)

WE ARE MOBILE!

So I come home this afternoon to a crazy crawling monster....he's all over the place!! He's crawling perfectly, and even pushing himself up to a sitting position--- I am the proudest Mommy! It is so wild to me that it clicks just like that; I mean he's been working up to it I guess, but it's like the light switch just turned on for him. I'm glad he can get around a bit better now--he had been getting really frustrated not being able to get where he wanted to go!

I finshed "For One More Day", by Mitch Albom. Definately a must-read for any book list. I made it all the way through to the last page before I teared up, (not counting the night I called my Mom balling--that was in the very beginning). Emotions are so weird for me now. Not that I was dead inside before mind you, but I think all those crazy hormones that were coursing through my veins when I was preggers wound up making me lean a teensy bit to the "sniffle-at-the-Chase-Credit-Card-Commercial Side. Now don't act you don't know the one I'm talking about. Remember--the one with that "I'm 33 for a moment" song--where the couple starts off getting hitched, have babies, and then grandkids, and such. I know you know the one. I'll post it if I can find it on YouTube. Annnnyway, I snotted all the way through the first part, (that was an off day though), but I really turned on the Water Works at the end. It's one of those books that makes you want to call everyone in your family, all your friends, and quite possibly your mail man to tell them how much you care about them and appreciate them. A quick read, but that's all it takes. Good stuff.

Allright---SYTYCD, ("So You Think You Can Dance" to the lay person) is about to kick off, so I best be wrappin' it up. As Kelly Rasberry from the Kidd Kraddock radio morning show, (which I've recently developed a small addiction to), would say, "Good-niiite der' diery"

These poor kids--WHAT IS SHE THINKING??! Honestly, I've about had enough of hearing about this white-trash tramp. It's obvious that she is a COMPLETE war zone, but sometimes I forget about her unfortunate babies...It's sad they had to be born to a mother that sucks. Stupid Britney. I hope they take them away from her and put them somewhere they can be really loved and taken care of.
